Strawberry Shortcake With A Hint of Lemon

I visited a new bakery in town today. The plaza was like a little hidden of calmness and lightness within a busy city. I picked two pieces of cake slice today. One of them is a strawberry shortcake.
 
To my surprise, it's not triangle but a rectangle cut. It's different, but pretty. The cake was playing a harmony, with the sweetness of the cream, the tanginess of the strawberries, and the freshness of the lemon sponge cake. All three flavors were well balanced. Definitely one of the best cake I've tried in town.
 
I especially loved the whipped cream, very creamy and smooth.
